This is a beautiful and inspiring book. The author is knowledgeable of Puget Sound underwater photo subjects and I found myself saying "I need to try that" many times as I poured through the pages. As an underwater photographer I would have liked information about the equipment and setting used for each photo included in the "Notes on the Photographs".
This book takes one to places to view sea life I would otherwise never see. How enlightening and awesome are the pictures and narratives. it has a special place in my great room.
When I think of underwater photography in my mind's eye, this is what I imagine! These images are stunning and I love the information in the book as well. HIGHLY recommended for any sea lover or photography enthusiast! The book is also a great size, not too bulky to handle comfortably but large enough to enjoy the beautiful seascapes.
Books is great! But the hard copy comes with a book cover, so even an excellent used copy is bound to have some damage.
Beneath Cold Seas brings you to the underwater world which is so amazingly beautiful and varied. David Hall's camera captures above and below the waterline. After looking at the gorgeous pictures it was such a treat to read his writings and those that were written about him. Don't miss the listings at the end of the book which note where each picture was taken. This book is not only educational but informative and very entertaining.
