I really like this book. My 5 year old is a little behind on his fine motor skills and I bought this as a fun activity so he could get extra practice with his cutting at home. This book was exactly what I needed. Other cutting activities books I have purchased in the past go straight to cutting out complex shapes, which he got frustrated with very quickly. The first several pages of this book are just practicing cutting straight lines. As you get father along the book the lines get increasingly complex. Only the last few pages if the book are complex cutting activities like the picture on the cover.After finished cutting along the lines my son likes to cut out the images on the pages and we get extra activity time cutting everything out and gluing them onto construction paper.If you a looking to improve your child's poor cutting skills this book is for you. If your child is already a semi competent cutter and are looking for more of a busy activity, they will likely get easily bored with this book.
The first 19 pages are straight lines which to me, is a bit excessive and a waste of money. I much preferred the 'Preschool Practice Scissor Skills (Ages 3-5) Perfect Paperback' book.
This book is pretty poor. The quality of the paper is very poor. But the tasks make it a one star rating. It's only line after line, first straight lines, then waves, then zig zag. This is very very very boring for children.
Pages are back to back so if you cut on one side it ruins the next page.
School doesn’t emphasize cutting skills anymore. I bought this for my graduated 2nd grader as a summer activity. I saw a huge improvement by doing these. He is now proficient to cut curves and small designs! Thank you!!!
I did have to RIP the pages out from the book because ir was hard to cut with them attached but ist than that it's great! Great practice & building hand strength.

Liked this one but did order a previous one that was more fun for the kids. Still does the job.
